    At our office when it comes to surgical extractions we love to hand them over to our Oral Surgeon. Surgical extractions may be teeth that are impacted, full boney or those real difficult wisdom teeth that create so much discomfort. Some surgical extractions may be due to such bad decay the tooth has undergone that it just isn’t salvageable.

  • Ridge Augmentation

    Ridge Augmentation - A ridge augmentation may be used for 1 tooth or for several teeth in one area together. It is when a patient has had a tooth extracted or several teeth and as recommended typically by a provider to get a bone graft however failed to get one. A ridge augmentation is used to change that paper thin bone into contouring the bone to a point where you’ll be able to place an implant in the near future.

  • Coronectomy

    Coronectomys are often used when a patient is in need of having a wisdom teeth extracted however pulling out the tooth may be difficult or may not be the best recommendation. A coronectomy is when you cut off the crown of the tooth and leave the tooths in the patient's mouth. Due to attempting to remove the entire tooth it may touch a nerve and leave the patient temporarily numb or lose sensitivity in their jaw forever.

    CT Scan- Dental cone beam scans are used in order to have a 3D view of what going on in your mouth. Seeing your bone levels, nerve out lays and any unordinary discrepancies. Allows us to see deeper than a 2D x-ray.

    A biopsy is performed when there is an unknown kind of tissue on any part of the mouth. A sample is cut off and is sent to the lab. In order to see if there is anything going on ranging from a virus, diseases or perhaps in more severe cases signs of cancer.
